Types of Licensing

Non-Exclusive vs Exclusive Licencing Options

  • All patterns in the pattern library are available for purchasing exclusively for your brand. This means that I will not sell the same pattern to another brand within any category within the AUS/NZ region.

When you purchase a pattern exclusively, you have the licencing use of that pattern for 2 years. Prior to the end of the two year period, I will be in communication with you about whether you would like to re-licence the pattern (because the products continue to be popular). If you do not wish to re-licence after this period, I will re-advertise the pattern again.

If you are purchasing a pattern that has previously been licenced (either exclusively or non-exclusively) I will communicate this with you prior to signing the licence agreements, so there are no surprises.

If the pattern has already been purchased non-exclusively in any brand category, it will not be available for exclusive licencing.

If you like my style and would like something created specifically and exclusively just for your brand, I would love to work with you! Please contact me if this is the case.

  • All patterns in the pattern library are available for purchasing non-exclusively for your brand. This essentially means that I can and will also sell that same pattern to another brand who also wants use of it for their brand and products. However, what I won’t do is sell the same pattern to two brands within the same category.

For example, if you are a baby brand and you have purchased the pattern for baby-related products, I will not sell/licence a non-exclusively purchased pattern to another baby brand in the same region. This ensures that even though you may have not purchased exclusively, your direct competitors won’t also be selling baby products with the same pattern as your brand.

However, I will sell/licence this pattern to other categories (e.g. women’s apparel, stationary, homewares, etc). If you see that the pattern is unavailable to purchase under your category, this means it has already been licenced and is no longer available.

When you purchase a pattern for licencing, you will have use of that pattern for two years. Before the two years I will be in communication with you about whether you would like to re-licence the pattern (because the products continue to be popular). If you do not wish to re-licence after this period, I will re-advertise the pattern within your category again for another brand to purchase.

If the pattern has been used by a brand in the past, I will inform you of this prior to signing the licence agreements, so there are absolutely no surprises.

In the case that the pattern has been purchased exclusively, it will no longer be for sale/licencing in any category.

If you are unsure of which brand your product falls under, please contact me.
